Amid the increasingly real threat of wildlife extinction, the State stands as the primary line of defence. Through sovereignty and the rule of law, the government’s role forms the foundation that determines whether our biodiversity will survive or be lost forever.
Wildlife conservation is a moral and political imperative. A strong nation is one that can maintain a balance between economic development and the preservation of its natural environment. Through pro-environmental policies, the government ensures that this natural heritage remains a source of pride for future generations.
Since 2018, FLIGHT has supported capacity-building and awareness-raising efforts for around 800 state actors across nine different state institutions to combat the illegal wildlife trade.
