The Law Enforcement Agency together with FLIGHT, seized 3 protected birds
On April 17, 2018, the Law Enforcement Agency of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, together with FLIGHT, seized 3 protected birds in Bogor regency, West Java (Brahminy Kite, crested hawk-eagle and Falconidae). The birds were confiscated from a car repair shop because the owner did not have permission to keep them.
When we raided the premises, we found that the birds had been kept in a small cage for many days.
We plan to send the birds to Kamojang eagle Conservation Centre in West Java. Once rehabilitated, they will be released into their habitat in the wild.
