Another smuggling from Lombok successfully foiled
After a smuggling attempt earlier on October 23rd, the day after, on October 24th , FLIGHT assisted the Police and Quarantine Officers to foiled another smuggling attempt of more than 400 wild birds in Surabaya, East Java. The wild birds were known to be delivered from Lombok. They were brought using a Truck. These birds contained inside plastic and card boxes. Some of the species brought were including Black-naped Oriole (Oriolus chinensis), Long-tailed Shrike (Lanius schach), Pied Bushchat (Saxicola caprata), Yellow-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus goiavier), Cinereous Tit (Parus cinereus), Mountain White-eye (Zosterops montanus), and Indonesian Honeyeaters (Lichmera limbata). Meanwhile for now, the truck, the driver and the known owner were brought by the police for more investigation.
